MSc Programmes

All our MSc programmes will prepare you for undertaking research at PhD level or for a career as a professional research economist. Our MSc Economics, MSc Economics (Econometrics) and MSc Economics (Finance) are taught in Edinburgh as part of the Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics (SGPE). The MEE programme which offers MSc Mathematical Economics and Econometrics is more suitable If you have a strong quantitative background in a subject such as mathematics, physics, engineering or computer science and would like to acquire a master’s level understanding of economics.

Prospective PhD

We are able to supervise a wide range of research interests. A PhD with us will allow you to study your chosen topic as well as undertake additional training with the support of an active research community.
