MA Economics and Politics, 1999 I am reasonably happy with the way things worked out after Edinburgh and all of it is obviously due to our much cherished alma mater Edinburgh! First LSE (Russian and PostSov Stud.), Tempus scholarship for St. Petersburg (half a year), then back to Germany to start with my current employer the Ministry of the Economy. Since 2004 I have moved to Belgrade as our correspondent for Serbia/Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania. That's where I still am, and enjoying it greatly.
